One Common Unity Event at Bus Boys and Poets
What an amazing group of people we met at the One Common Unity Event in early December at Bus Boys and Poets in Washington DC. Spoken word/poetry slam/open mike, a performance by Princess Best, drumming, to name a few. We were thrilled to speak to the 60+ people about the issue of child soldiers, CSRF’s mission and how they might help. Contact us about how to host an event like this. We’d love to hear your ideas!
In at least 30 conflicts, 300,000 child soldiers are actively involved in armed conflict in the world today. Children are used by both militias and governments as fighters, cooks, porters, messengers, spies or for sexual purposes. With dozens of organizations working on this issue, why are children still being recruited and used in wars?
